When these clients bought their lovely old Stables, it had already been converted into a residential property but had been rented out for years, so no consideration had really been given to the garden.

Once renovations inside were underway, thoughts moved to the garden, and after deciding on introducing a garden room to double as a gym and a golf simulation space, they approached Chiltern Garden Design to work our magic on the rest.

The style is ‘Modern Country’ which uses traditional materials in new ways, and feels fresh and new with a nod to the history of the property.

The main garden, unusually, is to the front of the property, with spaces to dine, lounge, entertain and cook. The rear garden is more private and intimate, with built in seating, a cooler colour palette, and lots of scent.

This garden design has now been approved for construction, which starts in autumn 2022, so watch this space for finished garden photos!
